Normally granite stairs are mounted with 20mm overlap. If ordering granite stair with 360mm width, the visible surface is accordingly 340mm. Bottom step normally 20mm thicker than others. If bottom of step is sawed, we recommend drilled holes in bottom for fixing stair with metal pins. Polished granite stairs are oftentimes mounted on top of concrete base staircase. Then thickness is usually 20-40mm. If polished staircase used outdoors, sometimes grooves on the granite stair necessary to prevent slipping.
